The Belgian Federation for Electroacoustiuc Music (FeBeME-BeFEM) invites you to its autumn festival. Music will be played on an its acousmonium (loudspeakers orchestra).

During three days, you’ll have the opportunity to listen to tens of composers and musicians representing the diversity of the Belgian electroacoustic scene, with acousmatic/tape music, mixed music, live electronics and music with video. Works from foreign composers will be programmed also through FeBeME-BeFEM’s membership into the International Confederation for Electroacoustic Music (ICEM).

The festival will also incluse a meetup dedicated to Max, a software used by many musicians and composers.

For the first day, we offer two concerts. The first one (18:30) features mainly acousmatic compositions, among which two world premieres. This will also be an opportunity to listen a classical work from the pionner Leo Küpper, Inominé.

The second concert (21:00) will feature in its first part a live set from Victor Outters as well as an acousmatic piece from @Sophie Delafontaine and a series of works from the recently deceased composer Paul Geladi.

The second half of this concert will also feature music with video, with works from Stéphanie Laforce et Dirk Veulemans, as well as pieces from foreign composers Jonathan Pitkin (UK) and Manuel Rocha Iturbide (MX).

La Fédération Belge de Musique Electroacoustique (FeBeME-BeFEM) vous invite à son festival d’automne. Les musiques seront jouées sur l’acousmonium (orchestre de haut-parleurs) de l’association.

Durant trois jours, vous aurez la possibilité d’écouter plusieurs dizaines de compositeurs et musiciens représentatifs de la diversité de la scène électroacoustique Belge, avec de la musique acousmatique, de la musique mixte, du live et de la musique à l’image. Des œuvres de compositeurs étrangers issus de la Confédération Internationale de Musique Electroacoustique (CIME) seront également au programme.

Par ailleurs, le programme inclut une rencontre autour du logiciel Max, utilisé par de nombreux musiciens et compositeurs.

Pour le premier jour du festival, nous vous proposons deux concerts. Le premier concert (18h30) réunit essentiellement des compositions acousmatiques, dont deux créations mondiales. Ce sera aussi l’occasion de réécouter un classique du pionnier Léo Küpper, Innominé.

Le second concert (21h) proposera en première partie un set live de Victor Outters et une compositions sur support de Sophie Delafontaine, mais aussi un ensemble de pièces du compositeur Paul Geladi, disparu récemment.

Durant la seconde partie de ce concert, vous pourrez écouter-voir des musiques à l’image de Stéphanie Laforce et Dirk Veulemans, de même que des œuvres de compositeurs de la CIME, Jonathan Pitkin (UK) et Manuel Rocha Iturbide (MX).

De Belgische Federatie voor Elektroakoestische Muziek (FeBeME-BeFEM) nodigt je uit op haar herfstfestival. De muziek wordt gespeeld op het akoesmonium (luidsprekerorkest) van de vereniging.

Gedurende drie dagen kan je luisteren naar tientallen componisten en muzikanten die de diversiteit van de Belgische elektroakoestische scène vertegenwoordigen, met akoestische muziek, gemengde muziek, live muziek en muziek met beeld. Op het programma staan ook werken van buitenlandse componisten vanuit de Internationale Confederatie voor Elektroakoestische Muziek (CIME).

In het programma werd ook een bespreking opgenomen van de Max-software die door veel muzikanten en componisten wordt gebruikt.

Op de eerste dag van het festival zijn er twee concerten. Het eerste concert (18.30 uur) bevat voornamelijk akoesmatische composities, waaronder twee wereldpremières. Het is ook een gelegenheid om opnieuw te luisteren naar een klassieker van pionier Léo Küpper: Innominé.

Het tweede concert (21.00 uur) opent met een live set van Victor Outters en een compositie op audiodrager van Sophie Delafontaine, evenals een selectie uit de muziek van de onlangs overleden componist Paul Geladi.

De tweede helft van het concert bestaat uit muziek met video. Er is werk van Stéphanie Laforce en Dirk Veulemans, maar er zijn ook twee buitenlandse werken van Jonathan Pitkin (UK) en Manuel Rocha Iturbide (MX).

During this second day, over two concerts (18:30 and 21:00), the festival will offer you acousmatic/tape works from a dozen composers, including many world premieres. In addition to the FeBeME-BeFEM composers, the italian composer Francesco Interlandi will be played. The programme will also pay tribute to two historic composers from tape music : Francis Dhomont, with his piece Vol d’Arondes, and Luc Ferrari, with J’ai été coupé.

The programme will also feature three live sets. Free improvised music with spacialization will be played by Tympocaïne 200, and also by Mathieu Buytaers. For his part, Todor Todoroff will play a composition for live electronics, voice, sensors and cello with Sigrid Vandenbogaerde.

During the afternoon (13:00 to 17:00) a meetup dedicated to the Max software will take place. It’s the first edition of this event in Brussels. It’s targeted to beginners as much as to advanced users. Several thematic presentations will be held, including some by musicians playing during the evening’s concerts. They will be followed by unformal talks over usage of this program. Participation to this meetup is free but a prior registration is required in order to organize the event as well as possible. Lors de cette seconde journée d’Autumn Waves, le festival vous proposera sur deux concerts (18h30 et 21h) des œuvres acousmatiques composées par une douzaine de compositeurs, dont de nombreuses créations mondiales. Outre les compositeurs de la FeBeME, le compositeur italien Francesco Interlandi sera joué. Le programme rendra hommage à deux compositeurs historiques de la musique sur support : Francis Dhomont, via la pièce Vol d’Arondes, et Luc Ferrai avec J’ai été coupé. Le programme contiendra aussi trois sets de live electronics. Tympocaïne 200 vous présentera des improvisations libres spatialisées, de même que Mathieu Buytaers. Quant à Todor Todoroff, il présentera une pièce live pour électronique, voix, capteurs et violoncelle avec la collaboration de @Sigrid Vandenbogaerde.

Dans l’après-midi (13h-17h) aura lieu la rencontre autour du logiciel Max, première édition bruxelloise de l’événement. Elle est destinée autant aux débutants qu’aux utilisateurs avancés. Plusieurs présentations thématiques, notamment par des musiciens jouant le soir même, seront suivies d’échanges conviviaux autour de l’utilisation de ce logiciel. La participation à cette rencontre est gratuite mais une inscription préalable est souhaitée afin d’organiser au mieux l’événement. Naast de FeBeME-componisten zal ook de Italiaanse componist Francesco Interlandi optreden. Het programma brengt een hommage aan twee historische componisten van muziek op audiodrager: Francis Dhomont met het stuk Vol d’Arondes en Luc Ferrai met J’ai été coupé. Op het programma staan ook drie sets live elektronica. Tympocaïne 200 zal vrije ruimtelijke improvisaties brengen, net als Mathieu Buytaers. Todor Todoroff presenteert een live stuk voor elektronica, stem, sensoren en cello in samenwerking met Sigrid Vandenbogaerde.

In de namiddag (13u tot 17u) vindt de eerste Brusselse editie van het Max-evenement plaats. Het is gericht op zowel beginners als gevorderden. Een aantal themapresentaties, onder andere door musici die op de avond zelf spelen, worden gevolgd door informele discussies over het gebruik van de software.
