We’ll start the evening with a screening of LA DÉTESTEUSE, graduation film of Faustine in which she revisits family archives to reconnect the threads of a foggy childhood memory; the start of a process that will lead her to realise UNE VIE COMME UNE AUTRE.

Often I think I remember my childhood, but I realize it was a story I have been told, a picture, a family movie. I begin to doubt. How can you be sure whether a memory actually happened when it has left no trace, no picture, no home movie?

My father immortalized, in family films, the most beautiful moments of his life, while my mother’s difficulties hit the blind spot in his images. Today, I revisit these films to tell another story: the one about a woman who sees her role as a mother gradually taking away her freedom.
